Copyright Policy

Last revised October 17, 2026

TurnPoint Hub takes other people's intellectual property seriously and expects the same from its visitors. The procedure below implements section 512 of title 17 of the United States Code, part of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

The short version

  • Send complete infringement notices to our copyright agent by email or post.
  • Counter-notices follow a similar format and are described below.
  • Repeat infringers lose access.

Reporting an infringement

If you think the Hub displays material that infringes a copyright you own or administer, send our agent a written notice with all of the following:

  1. Your handwritten or electronic signature, as the owner or as a person authorized to act for the owner.
  2. Identification of the protected work you say has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you object to, with enough information for us to locate it, ideally its exact web address.
  4. Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. Your assertion, made in good faith, that neither the owner, nor anyone acting for the owner, nor the law permits the use you are reporting.
  6. Your sworn statement, under penalty of perjury, that everything in the notice is correct and that you own the work or represent its owner.

Notices missing any of these elements may not be ones we can act upon.

Counter-notices

If we removed or disabled material you posted and you believe we did so by mistake or because it was misidentified, you may send a counter-notice containing:

  1. Your handwritten or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location before removal.
  3. Your sworn statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the takedown resulted from a mistake or from misidentifying the material.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or for our district, if you are outside the United States), and your agreement to accept service of process from the party that sent the original notice.

Misrepresentation

Section 512(f) of title 17 makes anyone who knowingly makes a material misstatement, whether claiming that content infringes or claiming that a takedown was wrongful, answerable for the resulting damages. Please bear this in mind before writing to us.

Repeat infringers

Where appropriate, we terminate the access of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
